A plump, round-bodied Canada goose, most likely from southern Maine, with a strong Mason influence.
Two-piece body, possibly hollow, with a 2-piece head as well. Impressive large hand-hammered iron bar for a weight, that was clearly needed with this round-bodied bird. Circa early 20th century.
Excellent original paint. Average in-use wear. Two splashes of white overpaint on bottom, done later.
Measures 21.75" long, 14.25" high.
