The surface of this bird is the kind one dreams of, with dry original paint and amazing crackelure. Its high up-lifted head and sweeping tail truly capture the old squaw's form.
 
Painted tack eyes. Original in all respects.
 
Martha's Vineyard is written on the bottom, however, our experience makes us believe the bird to be from southern Maine, an extremely early bird.
 
Measures 11.25" long, 6" high.
