A great Hudsonian curlew by Christo Earnest (Burano, Italy)

This maker's shorebirds have a form strikingly similar to Bowman-Bunn decoys. Made of cork, this bird has a large full-bodied form with a bold paint pattern that has mellowed to a soft patina.

Structurally sound and original in all respects. There is a large area of paint flaking on lower breast and underside of decoy (see photos). Overall a fine shorebird decoy!

Part of an old collection built from the mid 70s to 2000. Fresh to market.

14" tip of tail to bill, 3.5" wide
