Magnificent Landing Mallard by Ralph Laurie (1883–1964; Hingham, MA)
 
I think Laurie liked making these. I've seen several others and they all are quite striking. The form is really there and truly captures the bird coming in. Slightly oversized with a bold paint pattern. Tin legs and feet. Mounted on a turned oak base.
 
Fresh from an old-time MA collection that was collected and upgraded over 50+ years.
 
Very slight chip to the edge of one wing. Otherwise excellent and original in all respects. No stamp.
 
Measures 6.25" tall, 5.5" long.
